Course Announcement: Entry Level Clinical Trial Monitoring (Clinical Research Associate) Course

Due to the current COVID-19 situation in Kenya and globally, the planned Entry Level Clinical Trials Monitoring course to be held on 26 – 30 April 2021 has been postponed. The new dates are, 05 -09 July 2021.

ClinWin Research Services in partnership with KAVI Institute of Clinical Research, Department of Microbiology, University of Nairobi are pleased to announce the Entry Level Clinical Trials Monitoring Course, to be held on 26 – 30 April 2021, Nairobi, Kenya.

Introduction

Clinical Research Associate (CRA); also known as Monitor, oversees the progress of a clinical trial, and ensures that it is conducted, recorded, and reported in accordance with the protocol, SOPs, Good Clinical Practice and applicable regulatory requirements. The Monitor provides operational and administrative support for the assigned clinical trial(s) projects on behalf of a sponsor. The sponsor, whose intent is the research of pharmaceuticals, biologics, or devices, may employ these individuals either directly or indirectly via contract research organizations (CROs), or as independent consultants or contractors.

Who should attend?

The course is designed for individuals with Bachelor’s degree in a health related field; and at least two years’ work experience in clinical research environment, at Investigator site level, Sponsor (academic, Pharmaceutical or not for profit research organizations) or related health care industry.

Course Cost

The cost of the training is KES 100,000 (Hundred thousand), to cater for the course materials, lunch, morning and afternoon tea and Certificate.

Course Certification

The training is organized in collaboration with University of Nairobi, KAVI Institute of Clinical Research. The training involves classroom presentations, practicals and group discussions. Advanced Clinical Trial Monitoring (Senior Clinical Research Associate) Course

ClinWin Research Services in partnership with KAVI Institute of Clinical Research, Department of Microbiology, University of Nairobi https://kavi-icr.uonbi.ac.ke/  are pleased to announce the Advanced Level Clinical Trials (Senior Clinical Research Associate) Monitoring Course, to be held on 28 -30 July 2021, Nairobi, Kenya.

This is course is suitable for the Clinical Research Associates (CRA); with at least 3 years field work experience.

The course will focus on current trends in the clinical research landscape, including:

  1. GCP audits and CAPA plans
  2. Clinical Quality Management
  3. Risk-Based Monitoring
  4. Decentralized Clinical Trials
  5. Clinical Trials Projects and Site Management
  6. Regulatory Inspections
  7. Clinical Team and Stakeholder Management
  8. Contracts and Budgets Management
  9. Information Technology in Clinical Research
